Founded over 80 years ago, the Royal Academy of Dance is the largest, most influential dance teacher training and examining body for classical ballet in the world.

Our teaching method is taught in over 70 countries in the world, setting high standards of dance training for over 250,000 students each year. Our international network of examiners travel the world examining pupils in the Syllabus at every level. We provide summer programs for dance students worldwide.

We also provide comprehensive dance teacher training, including dance teaching certification, and degree programs for ballet teachers.

 


Dance Day 2012
Dance Days 2012 will be held in 7 Vocational centers in January or February. Students who are preparing for an examination will have the opportunity to fine tune their work before the spring exam session.

NEW GRADES 1 - 3 SYLLABI
The new Grades 1-3 Syllabi courses will be held in 8 US cities throughout 2012. Additionally, the new Pre-Primary in Dance and Primary in Dance and Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate along with a 2 day Benesh Notation Reading course will be held during the Long Beach, California summer school.

2012 SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS & TEACHERS
The RAD USA first ever Performance Course is being
launched this summer. The 2 week course will be held at California State
University, Long Beach, California from July 9 - 21. Students will learn
choreography and stagecraft and perform for an audience at the end of the 2
weeks.
 
Immediately following the Performance Course, there will be a 6 day
Vocational Graded Syllabus Intensive for students who are
preparing to take an examination. The intensive will run from July 23 - July 28 with a Vocational Graded examination session following the
intensive week.
 
Teachers will have the opportunity to attend 9 days of
teaching courses during the student Intensive week from July 23 - 31. Take advantage of the opportunity to review the examination syllabi, learn the new Grades 1 - 3 and study reading Benesh Notation.
